Afternoon everyone.

One of our club members more situated to our flying site has suggested the accommodation in Chester itself would provide access to many pubs and restaurants.

"To enjoy a good social aspect over the weekend, would strongly suggest people opting to stay in/ very close to Chester as far more choice of bars and restaurant and things for wives/ girlfriends and family to enjoy.  (Chester would have cheap accommodation at Holiday Inn express Chester racecourse, great location and also any of the premier inn's in Chester). Meal wise for social evening...Old Harkers on the canal has a great beer selection and good quality English style menu, (no children allowed) or right next door is a good high class quality Indian, Baton Lounge. Other!side of town close to the racecourse you have " the architect" quality, beers and wines and relaxed grown up environment/ food. Plus if you need fish and chips and know a fantastic multi award winning place right in the centre of town"

So I can organise a suitable evening venue can you all please let me know where you are planning to stay.

See you all soon

Brian

Calling any Judges

Unfortunately my nominated UK judge is unable to attend so I am looking for any judges willing to participate in this year's Triple Crown. Intention is to hold one round on the Friday 1st Sept PM, two rounds on Saturday and the final round on Sunday AM.

Do I have any volunteers?

Kind Regards

Brian

Calling all members

I have yet to find a English candidate to judge at our Triple Crown event for the weekend 1st -3rd September.

I am also looking for any one willing to attend to provide some support, scribing, running the line or even imputing the scores. Any such help would be appreciated.

Please let me know if anyone out there can assist.

Yours

Brian

Thank you to all for your kind comments.

Glad you all enjoyed the weekend including the facilities Deeside had to offer.  Thank you to everyone for your contribution to ensure we were able to complete the 4 rounds by the end of Saturday to miss the forecasted weather change.

Hope you all arrived home safely but we're able to take in some of the local attractions before you departed.

Well done to all teams some good flying was had by all.

Perhaps for future events we should consider a similar format enabling us all to get together after the competition has concluded before we all depart in our separate ways.

Hopefully see you all again in the near future. Happy flying roll on P19

My job is done over and out.

PS, on my return from Switzerland I wil down load all the pictures including some donated by one of our club members and get them to you.

Hi Brian,

Really enjoyed the comp (despite the ferry issues!!). Great site and good company.

Many thanks for all your efforts and look forward to seeing everyone on Scotland next year.
