For Sale and Wanted / Wanted hacker c50 13xl acro competition
« Last Post by Lee Backrath on Yesterday at 11:10:18 PM »
Has anyone got a c50 13xl acro competition they would like to sell. Ideally either a new one or a Hacker serviced one. Could ideally do with one before nats as I have recently fitted new bearings to mine and have test flown but seems to get hotter than I woud like so not convinced another problem isn't lurking. Many thanks Lee.

The rudder is almost never still in a Pitts Mike. Basically, it's trimmed for 130mph. Any faster you have to keep left rudder in, any slower and its right rudder. Taken to the extremes, you can actually completely run out of right rudder sometimes ... over the top of a "push" humpty for instance when the Gyro adds to the requirement.

No wonder they don't make accurate flying R/C models  ;)

All the best, Richard

Very nice  :)

Just wondered, is the right rudder on verticals applied due to wind or other?

Well, only 10 days to go until the full size nationals. This is the best practice flight so far .... apart from a momentary 100" minimum altitude bust (900' which would = instant DQ). Other than that I'm feeling quite happy about it all at the moment - time for some R&R at Barkston this weekend methinks.

I might have something Bill.  Will you be at the Nats?  I might visit on the Sunday.
