Trevor Plumbe
« on: 12, May 2017, 10:16:49 AM »

Sad to inform everyone that Trevor Plumbe passed away peacefully in Hospital last night.

Trev was a founder member of the 'Mansfield Mafia' and a good friend and colleague. Generous with his time, he organised many comps at Mansfield, helped out at the Nats and helped me at our World Cup events.

A sad day for our club and the world of aerobatics.

Our thoughts go to his wife Liz, and his daughter Sarah who recently gave birth to Trev's first grandchild Jack.

Tom just called me with the sad news. As you say Stuart, Trevor was a real pleasure to be around, he always had a smile on his face and made us all laugh with his humour.

Another huge loss to aeromodelling and of course his family, my sincere wishes to them all.

RIP Trevor.

I will remember Trevor whenever I think of F3A and the Mansfield flying site.

Sad news.

Sad to hear this. I remember him turning out very early one Monday morning in the pouring rain to meet me in order to return my transmitter which I had left at the Mansfield site. A lovely gentle man. Best wishes to the family.

Trevor was a true gentleman but those that knew him well were aware that he had a wicked sense of humour! On the many occasions he came up to my workshop, we would spend many a happy hour talking all things modelling as well as F3A. Trev had quite a few of my designs, always as kits except for those that had a faired in fin. Trevor hated doing those and a request would cone beforehand, 'Steve, could you just......'. LOL

Sleep well my friend, nice to hear that you got to see your new grandson before passing.

Terribly sad news.

Trevor was the complete gentleman.  Always made me feel very welcome when I visited the Mansfield site.

He will be sorely missed.

Hi all. Some members of the Association have asked me about details about Trev's funeral arrangements. I have no information as yet - but I will let members know as soon as I know anything.

Very sad to hear the news.  Trevor was a regular supporter of the Brits at the Tournoi de Champagne at Romilly sur Seine.

A true gent, a best friend, a committed aero modeller and to me my number one fan and caller, he went to every comp with me (and took me to many before I could drive!) come rain or shine, good results or bad, he would be there to help and call for me. We were a great team and I couldn't have done it without him.

A sad time for all left behind by this great man.
Fly high my friend.

Tom  :(
