Introduction
« on: 08, January 2011, 11:49:23 AM »
May I first of all endorse everything which has been said about Allison and previous team members on other parts of our forum. Difficult shoes to fill indeed.

I would like to congratulate Keith (Jackson), Richard (Christopher) and Matt (Hoyland) our Team for 2011 on their achievements so far.

I am sorry for any delay in getting this information to you but it is necessary not only for our GBR/CAA Committee, who I thank for their support, to appoint a Team Manager but also seek ratification through the BMFA, which I hope will happen soon.

My thanks also go to our pilots and Web Team for agreeing to this board to keep you up to date with Team News.

There is a World Championships web site up and running here: www.modelaircraft.org/events/f3awc2011.aspx . This has been produced by the AMA (Academy of Model Aeronautics, the USA equivalent to our own BMFA).

I am sure our Team would appreciate all the help and support they can get, so if anyone travelling to the World Championships in Muncie would like to be an official supporter or helper please let me know immediately. (Ideal holiday for any members recently retired or a welcome change from other distractions which may prevent you flying F3A).

More later.

Great to read about all three team members - there's obviously hope for us 'beginners' yet!

Unfortunately i think my eyesight will go before I've had enough practise to hone my flying skills to this level  ;D

Good luck in the USA, we'll all be watching...........

The Team and I have had a conference telephone call a couple of weeks ago to agree the way forwards, so just to say that information is coming in from the organisers and the paper work and details are being scrutinised.

Our initial entry has been accepted by the AMA on behalf of the FAI, and our flights are booked.

If anyone has any initiative running to raise funds for the Team please let me know.

More later.
