Newark indoor model flying club
« on: 29, March 2018, 06:18:58 PM »
ive been a member for about 4 years now. They fly Tuesday nights in the George Stephenson exhibition hall at Newark show ground.

The Hall is 102 x 24 meters (!) so we generally run 3 or 4 flight lines - mostly small helis but a dedicated fixed wing line at one end.

It runs 6.30 till about 10pm. Most times there are only 3 or 4 fixed wing guys so I get to fly till I get cross eyed. I generally fly my “Adam” 50g model or a 90g milled click v2 - there’s more clicks than anything else and it’s definately not a “free for all”

It’s a pitched roof so roof height is variable, it’s not super high, about the same as the average leisure Centre baminton area.

Fees are 25 to join (assuming you are already BMfa) and 7 per night.

Sadly numbers are not meeting the bills at the moment so there’s a drive for new members (34 at present - we need about another 10)

Do please pm me or get in touch via the bmfa if you are interested - you’ll be most welcome.
