Hi Lee, good to see the 2018/19 F3P season is still going ahead and you have dates / venues planned for this seasons competitions.

To ensure everything runs smoothly in the background could you let me know:
  • who will be CDing each of the 4 competitions (so we can set up the CD reports / Competition entry forms correctly)?
  • i assume there are no new entry categories (i heard there might be a revised entry level class)?
  • for those that are CDs i will need their bank details so i can reimburse any site fees they pay (electronically via BACS)?
Could i also please put out the following reminders:

1) for all those entering a competition to renew their GBRCAA membership via the electronic application form prior to the new season starting via the attached link.

2) for CDs to ensure that their individual competitions are financially viable for them to go ahead (i.e. site and any associated judges fees are adequately covered by the entry fees received).

If there are any other questions then please let one of the committee members know and we'll try and help.

For all those planning on supporting this years F3P season i hope you all have a great time.

Steve

Just a quick prompt about the first practice session on Sunday 21st October (9.30-12.30). There has been zero response about the Alfreton comps and at the moment the only people who are known to be going to the practice are myself and John Day so all in all not very promising! If you intend to go on Sunday could you please just put a quick post on here to let me know. If it has to be cancelled I shall put a post on here by Saturday evening. Thanks Lee.

Hi all, Just a quick reminder about practice session on 28th October at Minsthorpe. There was only myself at the first session so obviously there needs to be more attendees to keep it running. There doesn't seem to be much interest at all so if you think you might be going on Sunday a quick post here would be helpful to see if it is worth holding. If you do intend going please check here on Saturday night to see if it is still on before travelling. If it is to be cancelled I will post on here by 8pm on Saturday. Thanks Lee.

Hi everyone, please note the practice session this sunday (28th October) has been cancelled due to lack of interest. I can't make this one myself and no one else has said they will be attending so need to cancel to be fair to the venue. The practice session for the 4th of November will be left booked for now and I will see what happens. If interest doesn't improve then I think the only option will be to cancel everything as only 3 people (including myself) have shown any desire to compete this year. Thanks Lee.

Hi everyone, please note that unfortunately the first Minsthorpe comp set for 11th November has had to be cancelled due to virtually no interest. Only 3 people who competed last year have indicated that they would like to compete and no potential new entrants have even enquired about practice or comps so I think the chance of getting enough people to fly and make it viable to run is next to nil.  Therefore the only competition date not yet cancelled is Minsthorpe on the 17th February. This will be left open for now but looks like it will probably go the same way. I know this isn't very good but at the end of the day if no one wants to compete there is no other option. Thanks lee.

P.s. Also please note that the practice sessions are also insecure at the moment due to no interest so please check here before travelling to Minsthorpe.

Hi everyone, just to let you know that the practice sessions on 2nd December, 13th January and 20th January are definitely on. Even though it looks like no competitions are going to happen I have kept those three bookings although they will only be 2 hours long. I shall be there with a friend who is trying f3p but obviously anyone else is welcome to come along. Thanks Lee.
