Hi guys new to this site I've been a flyer since I was 7 years old I've recently bought a webra 145 r for my onyx but it seems to have very low compression  and to hand start is a no go is this right

Hi - Not sure about the 145, but the 120's had a Dykes ring - which means initial compression is very low. I struggled with my 120  & had to use a starter, which was the solution.
The Dykes ring expands when running & sits right at the top of the piston crown - so you can easily check this. If it is a dykes -then the starter is the only option - but it doesn't mean the engine is no good!

That's what I will try then had read on other forums about the 120 cheers for that

Looking at the spare parts list for the 145 - its a Dykes ring.
