Hi
I am after a bit of advice regarding a motor for a Curare.
My winter project is to scratch build a curare from a plan, I am having the wings and tail plane foam cored and fitting electric retracts.
My question is, I have a brand new OS55 ax doing nothing at the moment would this motor be a suitable power plant for this model ?
The plan shows a Webra speed 61.
Any advice please.
Regards
Malc

I have flown an ARTF Curare with that motor in it and it had more than enough power to fly old school style aerobatics. Enjoy the build!

I have an ARTF Curare with an OS 55AX on a pipe and the combination is perfect. I was tempted to install a Webra 61 Champion, but was advised against it by Schweighofer.
The issue is weight - the ARTF version is much lighter than the plan built, or MK kit versions. Unless you can keep the weight down (less than 6 lbs) then I would use the Webra 61.
