Blimey, Impressive!

Could you remind me what it is you're building and I'm thinking it comes in some sort of kit form?

Hi Mike.

Here's the website. Mine will be the "taildragger" version with a 180hp Lycoming V/P prop and sliding canopy.

The kit will be "quickbuild" - you basically get an aluminium canoe and wings with no top skins. Still a LOT of work though !

The kit looks amazing!

I'm trying to work out if that is a servo driven trim tab?

Looks anything but "quick"!  :)

Hi Mike.

Yes, the elevator trim tab is servo driven. It's a linear servo made by a company called Ray Allen. Slow moving but powerful and comes with a position indicator to go in the instrument panel.

Just out of interest, some uncertified F/S aircraft do indeed use R/C servos for trim operation.
