CD: Ashley Hoyland FAI Judges: Bob Ailles, Alan Simmonds, Peter Brett. Other judges: Keith Jackson, Adrian Mansell, Bob Wasson. Sound and flight timing: Steve Hunt. Score recorder: Matt Hoyland Let me do the thanks first, then I won't forget like I did on Sunday. To our judges. To our scribes, (even if they were hiding at times). To our supporters who sat in to scribe. To Gary Peacock, Steve Edwards, Matt and Steve Hunt for turning up at 7:30 to set up the flight line. To Steve Hunt for sound checks and timing each flight and to Matt for recording all the scores between his flights and keeping me in check. To Brian Hoare and helpers for collecting the box markers etc. Mervyn Selley, Chairman Grantham and District Model Aircraft Society for his help at check in. Thank you all, these events have to be a team effort to work and it was a super day, thank you again. OK now to what it's really all about. The first flight of the day was a little earlier than I had planned due to everyone being in good time to move onto the airfield after our pilots briefing. The first round was close for Team Selection pilots with Keith and Matt sharing first place. There was a battle in the P13 as everyone wanted to beat Ken, but he put in some good manoeuvres to come 3rd in the P13. It was good to see Gary Peacock competing again. Adrian Mansell was flying in P and F for the first time and our judge Alan Simmonds threatened to fly his new Bravo which was superbly finished by Alan, unfortunately he did not have time to show us what it could do as we kept him sat in the judges chair most of the day along with Bob and Peter. Masters was a mixture of joy and frustration. Frustration for Steve still coming to terms with his new Integral and joy for Gerhard achieving promotion scores. The second round in Team Selection was narrowly taken by Kevin but the battle between Keith and Matt (flying his Citrin in its first competition) continued with Keith's one point advantage. The third round in Masters and the P13 continued with little change but in team selection F13 Kevin again took first place to win the competition. It was a good day even if cool at times, and we did not get wet. Interesting that in a year we shall remember for poor weather conditions we have held our four Centralised events and not one round was lost.
