The second of our 'Introduction to Aerobatics' days at Buckminster. We had 7 pilots booked in for today. For Barry and Charlie it was their second visit returning from the last session in September (4th October meeting was cancelled by the pilots due to adverse weather, and rightly so). On this occasion I was joined by John Morton BMFA National Championships Clubman Champion who took the returning pilots flying with GBR/CAA pilot Alan Williams who also helped with flying advice. In the Events Centre I ran through the basics of what the GBR/CAA do with the first time pilots before joining the others on the flight line. We all met in the Events Centre for lunch after which we discussed in some detail model set up and the shape of manoeuvres The rest of the day was spent flying in rotation and putting into practice what had been discussed. We met again inside at the end of the day to what had been useful and how we should progress to make sure pilots get what they want from these days, and I flew a few circuits with my F3P model.
