The weather was unusually hot for October reaching 29 deg c with at a light to moderate wind blowing across the flight line although this did not cause any problems for the pilots. With only ten entries the rounds were completed very quickly. The pilots briefing got underway at 0900 and the first to fly in FAI was Garry Peacock at 0930 followed by Mike Williams. Scoring was close between Mike and Garry was close with Mike being the eventual winner. In Intermediate Charles Smitheman got off to a slow start with some trim issues with his model and Peter Jenkins took the first round. Charles managed to sort out his problems and took the next two rounds to win the class. David Kirk was the only pilot in Masters and elected to fly the new A12 schedule. As the three rounds were completed just after lunchtime it was decided the FAI pilots would fly the P13 schedule under the guidance of Peter and Bob. This was found to be very useful by both pilots and Judges. I would like to thank The Stansted MFC for letting us use their Flying Site for the competition and every one for making it a very enjoyable day. Mark
